Alexandre SALA and Nathan CARRIOT will compete at "My PhD in 180s"

Scientific event

Tuesday, March 10th, 2020 : 18h • Amphi FA.001, building Pi • University of Toulon

Alexandre SALA and Nathan CARRIOT, PhD students at MAPIEM lab, will participate to this scientific event where young researchers have 180 seconds to present their research activities to the general public.

9 young researchers will be evaluated by a jury made up of experts and partners, but also by the public. Three young researchers will be distinguished by the jury and one by the public. The first two, as well as the public prize, will represent the University of Toulon at the semi-final of the Aix-Marseille Provence Méditerranée University, which will take place on March 17th.

The event will be organized in several stages in a friendly atmosphere:

  • 5.30 p.m.: public reception
  • 6 p.m.: start of the competition "My PhD in 180 seconds"
  • 8 p.m.: award ceremony
  • 8:30 p.m.: cocktail

The event will be hosted by two former contestants: Julie GOLLIOT and Elora VEDIE. The later, Elora VEDIE, PhD student at MAPIEM lab, won the 2019 edition.
