Le projet Lab-on-Ship vise à la préservation des ressources aquatiques naturelles par le développement d’un instrument facilement déployable sur site afin de déterminer à moindre coût et avec précision les niveaux de contamination environnementale par les métaux toxiques que sont le cadmium, le plomb et le mercure. The pressure of environment regulations has reached to ban tin containing antifouling coatings, which could have fulfilled the objectives of dry-docking intervals previously mentioned.
