MAPIEM lab is proud to announce that Richard GUILLONNEAU received one of the six prizes for the best PhD thesis awarded by the Région Sud.
He performed his PhD thesis, at MAPIEM lab, on the topic: Diversity of microbial interactions within the marine environment: from multi-specific biofilm to multi-organisms, under the supervision of Maëlle MOLMERET.
The objective of the Région Sud was to select six PhD thesis, founded by the Région Sud, and to award a prize to each of the six winning PhD (prize of 5,000 euros). Applicants had to have defended thei PhD thesis between January 1, 2018 and June 30, 2019.
Among the selection criteria, there were:
- Transdisciplinary character
- Promotion of the PhD results on the innovation dimension (through patent applications or other intellectual property procedures, licenses, prototypes, technology transfer, etc.)
- Promotion of the PhD results on the scientific dimension (through publications in peer-reviewed journals or specific actions to disseminate scientific culture).
