QuANtitative assessment of the metal inputs in the marine environment from the galvanic anODEs of marine renewable energy structures
Acronym :
ANODE
Funding:
ANR (programme Investissements d’Avenir)
Short Overview:
In the context of public concertation prior to the deployment of the first Marine Renewable Energy (MRE) farms in France, the potential impact of cathodic protections, and particularly of galvanic anodes, is highlighted by the public authorities, as long as by the civil society, as a real concern as to their potential impact on the environment. The project aims at qualifying and quantifying the metal inputs from the galvanic anodes of MRE structures and comparing these inputs and resulting concentration levels with the natural level and chemical forms of these metals in the environment.
