ERANET Short Overview:
The objective of WATER-BIOFIL is to design, assemble, and test next-generation compostable filters, made from biodegradable and/or bio-based polymers. These filters can later be integrated into standard drinking water systems and serve as emergency tools to respond to extreme hydro-climatic events, while also reducing the environmental impact of hazardous materials.
