    Wednesday March 15th, 2023 - 9.am-5.pm - Palais Neptune, Toulon The MAPIEM laboratory organizes this year, the 7th Workshop on Biofouling & Antifouling as part of the 15th Scientific Day of the University of Toulon, on Wednesday March 15th, 2023 at the Palais Neptune in Toulon (9.am-5.pm).
    The morning will be dedicated to plenary conferences.

    Prof. Christine BRESSY is the new Director of MAPIEM lab since July 13th, 2023. She succeeds Prof. Hugues BRISSET who is now Vice-President for Research at the University of Toulon.

    Plastics particles can be found in water (sea and rivers), in soils and in the air and this environmental problematic has led to consider plastic as an emerging pollutant. The resulting products of plastic degradation are going from microparticles (size lower than 5 mm) to nanoparticles (size lower than 1 micrometer) and can extend to potentially volatile and soluble molecules.
