  • Workshop on algae at Porquerolles island

    A workshop to learn more about Mediterranean algae!
    Benoît PAIX, PhD student, and his supervisor Gérald CULIOLI will lead a workshop, organized as part of the Nature Day, this afternoon at 2:30PM at the Park House in Porquerolles.     25th April 2017 - "My PhD in 180s", Toulon edition.
    Clément DEZANET and Richard GUILLONNEAU, PhD students at MAPIEM, have participated to the event "My PhD in 180s", Toulon edition.
    Each participant had three minutes to present his or her research, to a non-specialist audience and a jury made up of researchers. The challenge: make their thesis topic easily understandable in clear, concise and convincing French and with the help of only one slide!

  • Chemical accident simulation

    Each year, the MAPIEM lab participates to the training of young volunteer firefighters from the fire station of La Garde.
    On Febrary 14th, 2019, Alexandre SALA and Nathan CARRIOT, PhD students, were the "consenting victims" of accidental simulated projections of corrosive chemicals on skin and eyes.
    These training exercises make firefighters aware of the particular risks encountered during interventions in chemistry laboratories. This is also the opportunity to remind to the laboratory (…)

    Like every year, the MAPIEM laboratory will participate to the Science Festival (Fête de la Science).
