Chemical accident simulation
27 February 2019Each year, the MAPIEM lab participates to the training of young volunteer firefighters from the fire station of La Garde.
On Febrary 14th, 2019, Alexandre SALA and Nathan CARRIOT, PhD students, were the "consenting victims" of accidental simulated projections of corrosive chemicals on skin and eyes.
These training exercises make firefighters aware of the particular risks encountered during interventions in chemistry laboratories. This is also the opportunity to remind to the laboratory (…)
